Project Overview

Somnandi Industries proudly completed the supply and installation of a high-performance blast resistant door with double shutter for Larsen & Toubro, one of India’s most respected engineering and construction giants. These doors were delivered and installed at a high-security CRB zone within an industrial facility, demanding the highest levels of blast resistance, fire safety, and structural integrity.

The delivered doors not only offer exceptional blast protection but are also fire rated for 2 hours, ensuring dual safety in high-risk operational zones such as chemical plants, oil & gas installations, explosive storage zones, and critical control rooms.

Blast Resistant Door - Objective

The core purpose of this installation was to deliver a door solution that could withstand blast pressures in high-risk industrial environments while also meeting strict fire safety regulations. The double-leaf configuration ensures ease of access for personnel and equipment without compromising structural resilience.

The MS door frame and leaf assembly is engineered to distribute blast forces evenly into the surrounding concrete walls. All doors are built with solid steel cores, ensuring strength without adding unnecessary operational complexity.
